Your future challenge

As a business area manager, you will have strategic responsibility for strengthening and developing Elmia's meeting places. With business acumen, creativity, and insight into market needs, you will lead the development of around ten Elmia fairs within the Green Industries and Lifestyle segments, as well as several guest fairs.

You will lead a department of about 15 people and also have overall responsibility for Elmia's Congress and Conference Department, whose manager reports directly to you.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the business area with a focus on customer benefits and business opportunities.
• Build and further develop strategic partnerships and relationships with key customers in close collaboration with the sales manager.
• Position Elmia as a leading meeting place for industry development and business.
• Be a clear voice outward – represent Elmia in industry contexts, participate in networks, and drive conversations forward.
• Ensure the growth and results of the business area, both in the short and long term.

The position is a permanent employment based at Elmia's office in Jönköping. You will report directly to the CEO and be part of the management team. Being part of Elmia's management team is a central part of the role, where you contribute to shaping and driving the company's overall strategy and business development. Evening and weekend work may occur during fairs and events.

• Experience in personnel responsibility, including for other leaders and managers, as well as a secure and engaged leadership style.
• Ability to identify and develop business opportunities with a focus on customer benefits.
• Experience in developing, driving, and following up cross-functional processes to achieve set goals.

If you have previously worked with management team work, we find it particularly interesting.

As a person, you are action-oriented and communicative, and you easily switch between operational and strategic issues. You have a passion for both people and business. Furthermore, you are a team player with a natural ability to build relationships and enjoy leading and developing businesses.
